Prez Says...

by Kenny Reynolds, MSDC President

Hello MSDC members – welcome to June!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! My wife Heather and I spent Memorial Day weekend with friends on the Eastern shore. We had wonderful get together playing corn hole, hanging out in the sunshine, and enjoying the scenery.

A highlight, of course, was a Maryland crab feast! We had the whole works – with picnic tables, brown paper on the tables, little wooden hammers, and small knives. We sat there for hours laughing, talking, listening to music, and beating up those crabs. What a lot of fun we had! If you've never tried a Maryland blue crab you don’t know what you’re missing. Truly a local delicacy!!

Moving forward into June, we have a really good presentation lined up with Patrick Rowe: “Growth of the Continental Craton.” Patrick gave us another presentation last October entitled “Silver Born of Cataclysmic Events and Brought to us by Improbable Happenings.” This was one of my personal favorite presentations that our club has had. I just know Patrick is going to knock it out of the park so please join us Wednesday, June 7th at 7:30 pm.

This will be our last meeting before our summer break where we have no meetings in July or August, so be sure to tune in via Zoom!

Hope to see you there!!
